Indonesia Traditional “Kebaya”
In many parts of Indonesia, the
kebaya is seen as a strong nationalistic symbol and has been strongly supported
as a symbol of identity for Indonesian women by prominent figures throughout
the nation’s history.
Recently, this traditional dress
has become recognized internationally as it is used as the uniform for flight
attendance on Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.

And we as indonesian people have to be proud of it, because of that flight attendance unifrom peoples from all around the world would be like "oh so this is from Indonesia, how beautiful!" and how proud we as an indonesian to hear that statment from tourist.
But there's a little problem that has been felt by muslims who wearing hijab. Maybe for those who not wearing hijab does not make it a problem, but it's different with muslims who wearing hijab. Yes, kebaya is a formal outfit and Formal outfit is definitely polite to be seen, but no it's not a polite outfit for muslims. Because kebaya's so tight on our body, it would makes our body's shape is visible.
And i suggest for all of the muslims espesially for hijabi who want to wear kebaya, request to your tailor to makes your skirt and at your hips more loose, do not tight if you do not wanna to see a lot of your non-mahrom notice at your body shape's (astagfirullahalazim).

The other reason why you have to makes your kebaya's skirt loose, because it would makes you easier to walk, to move, right? our first president, Mr. Soekarno also said when he saw a women with kebaya " i hate it when a women who use kebaya feel like their movements restricted" so Mr Soekarno also feel it.
The conclusion is, we are 100% supporting some airlines introduce kebaya to the world, but in the other side kebaya's not suitable for muslim who wearing hijab 'cause it will makes the body shape visible that's all!.
